What is Reiki?
Reiki is an energy healing technique originating in Japan, developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century. The practitioner channels universal life energy through their hands, placing them on or near different parts of the body, to promote physical, emotional and mental balance.
How is a session performed?
During a Reiki session you lie down, fully clothed and relaxed, on a treatment table. The therapist places their hands in different positions, from head to feet, keeping them in each area for a few minutes. The session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes and takes place in a calm, warm environment. Many people describe a feeling of warmth, tingling or simply profound peace.
Benefits of Reiki
It reduces stress and anxiety, inducing a state of deep relaxation.
It helps balance emotions and release burdens we are not aware of carrying.
It complements medical treatments, promoting overall wellbeing.
It improves sleep quality.
It brings mental clarity and a sense of renewal.
Is it compatible with other treatments?
Yes. Reiki is a complementary therapy that can be combined with massage, Tibetan singing bowls, meditation and, of course, conventional medicine. It does not replace any medical treatment, but accompanies it by enhancing the body's natural ability to recover.
